These headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." these lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors.
Risk: Decreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash.

Risk: In the event of a crash, the child seat may not be properly attached increasing the risk of injury to the child.

This is not a one time thing as they will not secure after being fully extended. In the 2000 and 2001 cherokees with the 4.0 engine head casting 0331 chrysler knew about the cylinder heads cracking. In 2002 they contracted with tupy manufacturing in brazil to remake the head casting that ran until the 4.0 was stopped being used by them.
